MATERIALS WE SUPPLY:<\/p>\n

• Per Person Price includes up to two<\/strong> paint colors from our production stock of American Paint Company\u00a0 clay-based chalk & mineral paints, Amy Howard at Home One Step Paints or Caromal Colours Texture or Botanical Paints<\/li>\n
• Chipping cr\u00e8me or Cracked Patina, if applicable or desired for your finish<\/li>\n
• One finishing product \u2013 either a sealer\/topcoat or a finishing wax.<\/li>\n
• Tools and Supplies (brushes\/rollers\/painting tools\/towels, tape, sandpaper, sanders, buffers, dryer, ) are provided for use during workshop time allotment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  * If you would like to use paint colors not offered as part of our production stock that we provide for use during the workshop for your project, or if you just want to stock up on additional products to take home with you, attendees are always offered a special 10% discount<\/strong> during the workshop event <\/u><\/strong>on all consumable products and supplies (paints, painting supplies, finishing products, embellishments, stencils, etc.)<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

  Important things to consider before registering to ensure a successful workshop experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. This workshop is ideally intended for participants who have prior experience painting using the furniture & cabinetry paint product line or the clay\/chalk\/mineral paint line we carry, or for participants who have attended one of our Introductory or Basic Painting workshops, which are designed to teach you the basics to confidently tackle your furniture or d\u00e9cor painting projects independently within the allotted time frame of the workshop.<\/li>\n
  2. This is not an instructor led workshop that will be teaching techniques; however, staff will be on-hand in the studio to provide guidance or offer advice.\n
     \n
     • **Depending on your vision for your project and your experience level, you may not be able to finish painting your piece in the included 4- hour timeframe. Also, if you tackle more advanced or additional embellishing processes during the workshop time allotment, it will likely add significant time beyond the 4 hr. included time frame. Please plan your projects accordingly. Due to space and storage limitations, we are unable to keep projects in our studio after the workshop ends. If you do not finish by the workshop end time, you will need to finish your project at home.<\/em><\/li>\n
     • This is primarily a <\/em>DIY painting<\/strong> workshop for your furniture or d\u00e9cor project, so use of advanced or specialty finishing\/embellishing products by participants will likely add to the project completion time, as different processes require varied steps, drying times, etc. As this is not an instructor-planned or instructor-led workshop, and is designed as a DIY workshop, instruction on advanced techniques and embellishing\/finishing processes will not be provided during this workshop are not included in the cost. <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
     • Project size limitations apply so please plan your workshop project accordingly. Our studio space is limited so please adhere to the guidelines for size\/weight of your piece to ensure all attendees have adequate space to work comfortably. A piece must be portable, small and light enough for you to carry through our door without assistance.<\/u>\u00a0 Small occasional tables, small chairs, stools, or small benches work well for this workshop.\u00a0 If your project is larger you might consider bringing in a part of the piece to complete in our studio (i.e. drawers from a dresser or even a couple of kitchen cabinet doors you could complete as a sample for a kitchen makeover).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
       \n
       • Place your piece on the floor and measure the amount of space the piece occupies. The most desirable footprint is 20\u201d x 24\u201d (or less) and no taller than 30\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
         \n
         1. We can provide you with cleaning materials; however, to ensure a beautiful finished project in the time provided, we request you clean your piece at home at least 24 hours prior to class to remove all chipping, rusting, flaking wood or paint, if applicable. Also, be sure to remove all waxy, greasy residue, loose dirt or dust, etc. This will provide a clean and thoroughly dried piece to begin painting.\u00a0 In order to properly clean your piece, spray it thoroughly with a good degreaser such as Simple Green. We also recommend Amy Howard at Home\u2019s amazing Clean Slate product, which we have in stock.\u00a0 Use a ScotchBrite scrubby pad\/sponge and scrub your surface.\u00a0 Wipe clean thoroughly and let dry.<\/li>\n
         2. Since there are so many varied looks and styles you can achieve, it would be helpful if you arrive with an idea of the color(s) you wish to use and style\/finish\/look you wish to achieve. Looking through magazines and browsing the internet may help give you inspiration on the colors and look you want to achieve for your piece.\u00a0 Spending too much valuable workshop time choosing colors\/finishes will subtract from the time you have available to jump in and start creating!<\/li>\n

            • ADVANCED REGISTRATION REQUIRED. To ensure proper preparation and setup for all attendees, we kindly ask for at least 24 hrs. advance registration. All attendees of the workshop in the studio must purchase a ticket.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              • Workstation\/supply selections are available on a first-come-first served basis so be sure to arrive with plenty of time to choose your seat\/supplies and to browse our showroom before class starts.<\/li>\n
              • Check-in begins 30 minutes prior to the scheduled class start time. Please plan to arrive no later than 15 minutes before class starts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                • This workshop is ideally designed for adults, but we can accommodate ages 12 and up.<\/li>\n
                • If a child 12 or older will be participating in the workshop, each child must also purchase a spot for the workshop and must be accompanied by a paying adult workshop attendee.<\/li>\n
