DESCRIPTION:\u00a0 Create a custom tabletop riser for holding salt\/pepper and condiments or for use on a vanity to display perfumes, etc.\u00a0 You can also use it on a dining table for parties, etc. to create levels to display foods and desserts.<\/p>\n

You will be provided with an unfinished wooden plaque and ball feet.\u00a0 You will create your own one-of-a-kind riser by choosing any of the chalk paint colors offered by American Paint Company. You will learn to layer paint color by using basic painting techniques. You will be shown multiple methods of distressing and will protect your project with topcoat and wax.<\/p>\n

SPECIFIC TECHNIQUES COVERED IN THIS WORKSHOP:<\/p>\n

• Basic paint layering<\/li>\n
• Different methods of distressing using sandpaper, mouse sanders, Vaseline, candle wax, wet distress<\/li>\n
• Topcoating techniques using brush or roller<\/li>\n
• Waxing and buffing final project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  You will walk out of the workshop with a beautiful completed project that you can take home to enjoy.<\/p>\n

  • ADVANCED REGISTRATION REQUIRED. To ensure proper preparation and setup for all attendees, we kindly ask for at least 24 hrs. advanced registration. All attendees of the workshop in the studio must purchase a ticket.<\/li>\n
  • This workshop is ideally designed for adults but we can accommodate ages 12 and up. Though the products we use and carry in our shop are environmentally safe and non-toxic, it\u2019s not a child-proofed environment for young children in the workshop\/studio. (We have lots of spare parts\/tools\/hardware that wouldn\u2019t be safe in little hands.)<\/li>\n
  • If a child 12 or older will be participating in the workshop, each child must also purchase a spot for the workshop and must be accompanied by an adult workshop attendee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
